Guidelines for Good Governance

"Inspiring scenes of people taking the future of their countries into their own hands will ignite greater demands for good governance and political reform elsewhere in the world." - William Hague

Three years ago a revolution of unexpected extent was initiated by the Egyptian population’s clamor for the overthrow of corrupt regimes as well as for real democratic participation through elections and the guarantee of human rights. Since then, time has flown and circumstances have basically changed. But despite of ambitious interventions and considerable supports from outside the final implementation of so called "good governances" still seems to be in far distance and fails again and again through in- and miscomprehensions.
Precisely because this problem so urgently calls for creative and effective approaches we decided to dedicate our 2014 Baltic Model United Nations Conference to it. Debating a multitude of controversial topics - such as the initialization of basic sanitation in developing countries and areas of war, the handling of the increasing phenomenon of the resource curse or the disposal of chemical weapons - the delegates shall see that "Guidelines for Good Governance" are of big importance for nearly every sector of today’s global community.

Be part of this progress and come to the beautiful hanseatic town of Rostock from May 22nd to May 25th in order to use the unique chance to exchange ideas in an international but familiar surrounding!

I am very excited to meet you soon!
